The Pastel Society set to exhibit in North Staffordshire at Trent Art Gallery

Dawn to Colour Friday 12th October – Saturday 27th October 2018

The Pastel Society is set to bring in excess of 80 paintings by over 18 artists to exhibit in North Staffordshire for the first time in the organisations history.

Annually The Pastel Society exhibits in the Mall Gallery, a stone’s throw from Buckingham Palace, with the event being a firm favourite in the London Arts Calendar.  But now, The Pastel Society is set to travel North, for the first time ever, bringing with them some of the UK’s most prestigious artists to exhibit at Trent Art Gallery in Newcastle under Lyme.

The Pastel Society was established in 1898 and founder members and early exhibitors included Degas, Rodin and Whistler. Today, the Pastel Society has over fifty-five Members who are professional artists living and working in this country and overseas. Membership is granted through a strict assessment of technical skill, originality, innovation and enthusiasm.

This exhibition will enable art lovers of this area the opportunity to visit a London standard exhibition right here in North Staffordshire.

All work in the exhibition is for sale and available to purchase through the Own Art Scheme allowing you to spread the cost of your purchase over 10 months (interest free).
