A View of the Potteries – September 12th / 13th 2015
Our inaugural exhibition – A View of the Potteries is being held on Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th at the Potters’ Club, Stoke on Trent.
We have amassed a significant body of Stoke on Trent art for the exhibition and will have on display a number of works by Arthur Berry that are being seen in public for the 1st time as well as a large collection of Jack Simcock works spanning the artists career. These include “classic” Simcock Mow Cop paintings, later abstract works and a range of his Alien Head Drawings that were last displayed at The Potteries Museum and Art Gallery back in 2001.
In addition we have works by Fred England, Derek Higginson, Jiri Borsky and John Shelton along with a brilliantly iconic painting by Jack Clarkson – A View From Etruria Towards Hanley.
We are also pleased to be including works by emerging local artist, Gaz Williams, whose works captures Stoke both past and present in the Exhibition.
