Final preparations are well in hand for ‘One Year On’, the exhibition and sale to celebrate the first anniversary of the opening of Trent Art Gallery.
Business partners, Henry Birks and Ruth Palmer, opened their stunning new art gallery in the heart of Newcastle-under-Lyme just one year ago. They took what used to be a run-down bathroom shop, on the corner of Brunswick Street and Hanover Street, gutted it completely and refurbished the extraordinary space to a very high standard. The ‘One Year On’ Exhibition celebrates what has turned out to be a year of remarkable achievement.
The gallery now displays the work of modern and contemporary art from many well known local and national artists and studio potters. The work on display is constantly changing.
Henry and Ruth pride themselves on their very high standard of customer service.
“We are extremely pleased with the progress we have made in the last twelve months,” explains Ruth. “Purchasing a work of art can be a wonderful experience and we always ensure that all our customers go away feeling that they have been well advised, well cared for, and very well appreciated. The number of clients who come back to buy more means that we must be getting it about right.”
The ‘One Year On Exhibition‘ has its opening night on Thursday 30th November 2017. Drinks and Christmas fayre will be available and a host paintings will be on show for the very first time. Some of the artists themselves will also be attending.
The exhibition, till 16th December 2017, can be seen Monday to Saturday in the Gallery at 19 Brunswick Street, Newcastle-under-Lyme, ST5 1HF. The gallery is opposite The Jubilee Swimming Baths, and there’s free parking in the local side streets.
